The brother of two-time Penn State All-American Paul Posluszny, David opted not to go to State College himself, instead committing to Notre Dame on April 6. Because of his smaller frame, many have projected him as a safety in college, but Posluszny figures to bulk up a bit before arriving on campus, much like current Irish freshman Aaron Nagel did a year ago.
Posluszny registered 38 tackles and one sack for Hopewell during his injury-shortened senior season as the team struggled to a 4-5 record. He also played running back, gaining 301 yards and three touchdowns on the ground while also catching a pair of passes for scores. He finished his prep career with 122 tackles in three seasons. In his junior season, Posluszny recorded 23 tackles in three games.
