A local product from the same high school that produced former Irish offensive lineman Mike Rosenthal (1995-98), Cave committed to the Irish during his visit for the March 4 junior day. The ESPN All-American has been extremely active in recruiting his classmates, hosting a number of prospects during unofficial visits throughout the year.
Cave’s Kingsmen rolled through the regular season without a loss before a 21-20 loss to Merrillville (James Aldridge’s alma mater) in the Class 5A regional final ended their season at 12-1.
