The son of one former Notre Dame star (Mike Sr., 1981-84) and the nephew of two others (All-America Bob Golic, 1975-78 and Greg Golic, 1980-83), Mike Jr. became the first player to commit to the 2008 recruiting class, giving a verbal commitment – from Italy, no less – back in February.
The Army All-American, whose younger brother Jake will likely be targeted by the Irish next year, helped the Indians to a 8-2 record, capped off with a 36-12 Thanksgiving Day win over Plainville.
