Either way, Charlie Weis finally gets Notre Dame Football.  Sure you gotta recruit and you need to bring in money and all that business jazz.  But something Willingham never got and something Davie never really showed: childhood.

On Second Thought...

Let me first say one thing.  Last week I ranted about the whole "Crank me up" thing going on.  This week, on second thought, I'm in love with it.  Maybe its a little corny for a bunch of upper-class Notre Dame students to be chanting the name of a rap song, but the defense loved it.  Hell, the whole team fed off of the newly created momentum starter.

Weird phrase, isn't it?

I'm embedding a video of Al Pacino's speech from the movie "Any Given Sunday".  I don't care if you liked the jerky camera or not - this speech is perfect.  It goes beyond any average pre-game speech and applies to life as a whole.
